Delay to the start of After School Clubs

We have taken the very hard decision to delay the start of our afterschool club offering due to the current rates and advice around Coronavirus.

This isn’t a decision that we have taken lightly, and we have weighed up all our options and explored several ways to mitigate risks.

We are very fortunate to have a highly effective ventilation system in The Bunker, but we feel that we are still not able to circulate quite enough fresh air into the building to allow larger group sessions to run.

This along with the current advice for secondary age pupils to wear face coverings in classrooms and the current high rates of infection led us to this difficult decision.

We like many of you and your children are keen to get our sessions up and running, but we want to do that safely.

We will be reviewing the decision constantly in the coming weeks but don’t expect sessions to begin before Monday 24th of January.

We will endeavour to keep you up to date with our thought and decision-making process around this.

Some good news!

We have decided to start 1-2-1 tuition sessions in both vocal and music. These will be offered both in-person and via online methods and we plan to begin these on Saturday 15th January.

Either Alex or Naomi will be in contact with you to make arrangements and explain the safety process that we have put in place. These include wearing face coverings whilst moving around the building, social distancing during sessions and sanitisation of equipment and spaces between sessions. We will also be incorporating a 30-minute ‘air gap’ between in-person tuition sessions and be utilising the largest rooms available to us in The Bunker.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we try to navigate our way through this latest phase of the pandemic.

Andy, Alex & Naomi.
